Day 5: Blacksmith Museum

Today our next destination was Blacksmith Museum


    The Blacksmith History Forge Museum is a short walk north of the Toqi Telpak Furushon Bazaar on Khakikat Street. The museum is located in the Kulyuta karavansarai which was built in the 16th century. Admission is free, and it is a rare treat to see a working blacksmith.
     One of the main activities of the Bukhara museum-preserve is to revive and support traditional Bukharan handicraft.

In 1992, the blacksmiths' museum-workshop, the only one of its type in Uzbekistan, was set up in the 16th - century Kulyuta karavansarai.

The museum-workshop is a living museum. Not only could one learn there the history of the ancient blacksmith's craft, but also participate in making blacksmith products.

Usto Shokir Kamolov, who comes of a family of blacksmiths, is the senior researcher of the museum.


The museum-workshop has swords, knives, arrow-heads, and craftsmen's instruments. The exhibits of major interest are "Risola," blacksmiths' rules (19th c.), chain- mail (17th c.), a warrior's outfit (17th c.), and bellows (17th c.).

The Samanids Mausoleum

Hi everyone 👋👋👋 Welcome to my blog 😊😊😊 First day  I am going to share with you my adventures and  feelings about our trip to the historical heritage "Ismail Samani" 23.05.2022 Yesterday, I spent my time with my friends in an ancient historical sites of Bukhara. My first day at qualification practice started from the Samanid Mausoleum which is one of the outstanding historical heritage around the world, the Mausoleum of the Samanids is an ancient architectural monument located in the territory of the Bukhara Park of Culture and Leisure. History  Ismail Samani was the founder of the Samanid dynasty, who ruled from 875 to 999. There is evidence proving that he built the mausoleum for Ahmad ibn Assad, his father.  The mausoleum became a family sepulcher later where Ismail Samani himself was buried. Khoja Muhammad Boboyi Samosiy

Next pilgrimage is Khoja Muhammad Boboyi Samosiy which is part of 7-Pirs pilgrimage. I will share with you a number of facts about this shrine. Khoja Muhammad Baba Samosi was born in the village of Samos near Bukhara in the middle of the 7th/13th century. He was of medium height, wheat-colored, sharp-eyed, determined, with a radiant face. He was in the service of Khoja Ali Romitani until the end of his life and looked after the trees in his teacher's garden. Like other pirs of the Khojagan family, Khoja Muhammad Baba Samosi was a gardener by profession and earned his living through his honest work. He worked by himself in his garden in the village of Samos and grew various fruits, including grapes. Khoja Muhammad Baba Samosi's father, Sayyid Abdullah, was originally from the village of Durun in Khurasan, and was a descendant of the Prophet (pbuh), Imam Musa Kozim (r.a.).
